Dermalogica gets under the skin at HMP Send

Dermalogica - Novus Case Study

Novus has been working with a leading UK training and skincare provider to offer a full day’s workshop to learners.

The Dermalogica workshop involves the Level 2 Beauty Therapy learners at HMP Send training to carry out facial treatments.

Dermalogica visited the prison to train the learners, who now have the kind of skills which can help them find work after they are released. Julie Kemp, Novus Curriculum Team Leader at HMP Send, said: “This was a fantastic experience and gave our learners confidence to carry out facial treatments.

It also gave them a better understanding of consultations and retailing. All learners received a certificate of attendance.”

A spokesperson for Dermalogica said: “Our recent visit to HMP Send was a positive experience. The learners were very enthusiastic and engaged throughout the sessions and took a lot away from the training. “Julie, as always, was a great support, making sure we had everything we needed to carry out the training and create the best outcome for the learner experience.
