Milton Keynes College are working in partnership with HMP Huntercombe to put education at the heart of the prison system.
We are currently seeking a passionate and flexible Business / Customer Services Lecturer to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and working from entry level – level 2. This is an exciting time for prison education and this is a great opportunity to experience prison teaching as a variable hours tutor covering part and full time hours.
We offer our learners a wide of range of subjects including Functional Skills (Maths, English & ICT) and a variety of vocational trade courses.
The successful candidate will be passionate and dedicated to teaching with the flexibility to be scheduled to work on an ad-hoc basis. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience embedding Functional Skills, E&D and Employability is essential in order to successfully deliver the curriculum.
HMP Huntercombe opened as a prison in 1946 and is currently a Category C adult male establishment holding a solely foreign national population in order to support government priorities on the deportation of foreign national offenders.
